Celebration Parties at the East Kent Railway

Why not hold your party or celebration with us, to add that little bit extra to your special day?

We can cater for people of all ages from one to a hundred. We will only cater for one party per day so don't delay if you'd like a celebration with a difference.

Your party will start with a train ride - a 4 mile round trip along the railway - before adjourning to your special railway carriage in which your party will be held (this carriage is not part of the train).

After the party there is time for the children to ride on the miniature railway (for a small donation to the operator) or for adults to have a guided tour around the site, before everyone rejoins the train for another ride along the line. Don't delay - book today!

A scale of charges can be found below, and also a link to a booking form. Please fill out the form and send it off to the address shown - you will then be contacted to discuss the type of food and drink you would like, timings, and any other special needs or requests you may have.

Buffet for Children:
£50 minimum for up to 12 children.
£50-£74 for 13-20 children (£3 per head)
£74+ for 21 children onwards (£2 per head)
(Includes party food, shop cake, banners, balloons and squash drinks)

Buffet for Adults:
£75 minimum for up to 12 adults.
£75-£115 for 13-20 adults (£5 per head)
£115+ for 21 adults onwards (£4 per head)
(Includes party food, wine, shop cake, banners and balloons)

Additional costs for special train on an operating day:

Parties for children:
£30 for up to 12 children + 4 adults.
£30-£46 for 13-20 children (£2 per head)
£46+ for 21 children onwards (£1 per head)
(£5 per adult for the 5th adult and upwards)

Parties for adults:
£60 for up to 12 adults.
£60-£92 for 13-20 adults (£4 per head)
£92+ for 21 adults onwards (£2 per head)

Additional costs for special train on a non-operating day:

Parties for children:
£80 for up to 12 children + 4 adults.
Then additional £2 per head for each child 13-20.
Then additional £1 per head for each child from 21 onwards.
(£5 per head 5 or more adults)

Parties for adults:
£100 for up to 12 adults.
£100-£132 for 13-20 adults (£4 per head)
£132+ for 21 adults onwards (£2 per head)

A minimum of 14 days notice is required along with a non-refundable deposit of the smaller of the two sums. For example if the total charge for your special train is £80 and the total charge for your buffet is £50, a deposit of £50 would be required.
